We usually spar 2 or 3 times a week at the gym, 3 rounds. I prefer just 2x a week, I think 3x a week is too much. We're usually at 2x a week unless there is a fight coming up, then we might try to get a little bit more in.

We spar ALOT but we only have a couple of late teen/adult boxers (and a bunch of kids) at our gym and there's only two of use that are really serious and are there six days per week.

We'll spar atleast 4x2 minute rounds together four or even five days per week. And then on somedays we'll mix and match more rounds with other people that are there. Then there's usually one day per week where we just do different types of technical sparring.

As long as you're not constantly taking shots that rattle your brain or getting other injuries, there's nothing wrong with it. In my opinion and the opinion of my coaches, sparring is the most important part of training, and is where you improve the most so we do it alot.

No such thing as too much sparring aslong as you're not getting hurt.

Just make sure you feel like you can fight before you get in. Going in when your body needs rest will just make it worse. Try to sparr as much as your can but remember you are trying to get better you do not have to proove anything in a sparring match, it's not a sanctioned fight. The day after a sparring session always feels rough win or lose.

we usually do 3 times a week and our sessions are usually pretty tough. taking a week off sparring or even a few sessions feels like it does me good sometimes, so dont worry about missing a session or something like that.

I spar 3 nights a week in my club doing about 6 to 8 rounds alternating with 2 or 3 others, so we get 2 rounds at a time without a rest. I dont think there such thing as too much sparring unless your not doing any other fitness training or your getting beat up. I like a light spar the night before a fight, Sparring gets rid of cobwebs and get you used to being in the ring and getting the feel of it.

IMO, if you sparr a lot to get timing, reflexes and work on new things its not bad, but if you guys do sparring championships over there you could get hurt or end up not getting anything out of it but a good workout
