is it better for weight loss

the reasoning behind running in the morning is forcing your body to burn fat rather then converting food or whatever was stored to be burned for energy later from food. i think its something like 10-12 hours without eating where your reserved will be completely depleted so if you get 8 hours of sleep then you shouldnt eat 2-4 hours before going to bed. but this is for steady long distance running and not HIIT type running. just an easy 3-5 mile jog should be sufficient enough. running at night would be good after a good session of weight lifting and or coming from a boxing class but you would benifit more if done after weight training.

If i run in the morning when i go to the gym after noon i have more energy for working out and tend to lift heavier and spend more time lifting and using the machines where as if i run when i get to the gym then try to lift and stuff i can barely do anything let alone with proper form and vice versa too i normally can jog 4 miles in alittle over 30 mins in the morning but after i work out for an hour i can't even do it in 40 mins i think this is why most people started running in the morning it gives them a break between diffrent training activites so they can put 100% into each but as it turns out there is alot more advantages to it with the correct eating plan (fasting 10- 12 hours before running)

So even if you dont follow a good diet plan for running in the morning it still has its benifits but i guess in that way you can run at night too, just go to the gym in the morning so you maintain the break

it all just depends on how hard you can push yourself. i used to run a mile for warmup at 6.5 on the tread b4 weight training and i felt like **** because i was so out of shape. i felt completely drained during the weight training after that 1 mile run. but i was able to get to 2 miles setting the speed at 9 breathing only through my nose and still lifting like a beast aftter. ive also tried running after lifting and it feels some what harder because your body is so drained from lifting but thats how you build up your body up. do what you think works best for you. stick to your diet and do your workouts. working out is what it is. WORK and if its easy then you arent working.

personally for me running in the morning is better because I get my training out of the way and I have the whole day to rest before my boxing workout....Your also more likely to skip training if its later in the day

Yeah workouts, or at least running, is best done first thing in the morning. You burn more fat. You also get it out of the way, and the endorphins surge for the rest of the day, making it more enjoyable. I hate going through my day without working out, I don't feel complete until I do workout so I'm very anxious if I haven't worked out yet.

While runs at night, especially in the summer, are awesome, be careful, it takes a while for your body to cool down after a long run, therefore it will be more difficult for you to fall asleep. Usually something like 4-5 hours for your body temperature to go back to a normal level. It is more difficult to sleep at a higher body temperature.

I think as long as you are doing it you can't really go wrong. I work a full time job and i take a night class a few nights a week. So sometimes i have to get up early to do my running/rope and then do the rest around 9:45-12:00 at night. The only thing i recomend is not doing hard heavy bag work in the morning you will feel it all day. But as far as the fat burning issue in the morning im not exactly sure on the science of that one. just keep in mind, calories in should be < calories out, surefire way to lose weight.
