Use the jab, keep sticking it, its not a professional bout. dont worry about trying to knock him out, just jab jab jab jab jab. set up combinitions, keep your hands high and just keep sticking the jab, keep your feet moving

What record is that? Had 1 lost 1? Or had none but somehow lost one? Hands up and keep punching. Go straight to him from the bell let him know your there. He will do the same for about 30 secs. You gotta fight back immediately.

Try not to rush and conserve energy the first round.
and look at him all the time.
Always try to take the lead even if he's blocking you have to make it look like you're in charge and winning. don't over do combo's either. if you're gonna throw giant bombs don't forget to make your feet wide and stable.
if he's coming in with a flurry don't block and stay there , block and move back and come back with something.
never show you're hurt or tired. if they even see the slightest look on your face they'll jump on it.

and lastly good luck my friend be brave

breathe!! dont forget to breathe right. be calm and collected when you step up. and control your breathing between rounds, and {listen to your trainer} between rounds. Dont get into the habit of telegraphing your punches!! keep him guessing with combinations coming from the left, right. start low then go high. and so on. let us know how it goes. Good luck!

The nervous butterflys that you get will only be worse right before that match. Focus on your breathing (close your eyes if you have to), and don't stop, just let everything else around you fade out. Worse thing you can do is let that adrenaline flow too much, you'll be like me - gassed in 40 seconds.

dont worry too much, just think- all i have to do is do what my coach says and i will do well, just keep that tight defence and stay calm, fighting is fun once you're settled in there, as for me, i often get very nervous prior to a bout but once im in there boxing i relax and often do quite well, just stay calm and stick to the game plan

relax, listen to your ipod (music) anything that gets you in a amped/lighter moods, not anything crazy and have faith in your coach and what he has taught you. Most importantly, have fun. Good luck and Stay up.
