Sure it happens. Just make sure it doesn't happen to you.

i don't think it's a big deal, unless you make it a big deal. But if you're sparring and get dropped by a world class prize fighter who's champ, then i'd brag about that *****.

On the other hand if you get rocked or hurt by "Joe the scrub", then i'd worry.

It's not wise to try and be tough and fight on after getting dropped in sparring. It's only sparring you don't have to kill yourself. Even pros stop sparring for the day if they get rocked (not even dropped) badly. Trainers at my gym won't let you continue if you get rocked badly enough. You can get long term or permanent brain damage from that ****. It's better to just end it for the night if you get dropped and come back stronger the next day.

i have had some big hits to the head sometimes, but you get over it. once i left the gym with a little bit of a headache. really been dropped is to the solar plexus, i'm pretty much a heavyweight (a la Arreola, hahaha) and i have a buddy of mine who's also a heavyweight (a la young Holyfield) only he's not technical sound, but has a lot of power.
he hit me with a punch to the solar plexus once, really caught me with it, and i couldn't get up no more.

like the rest says: it happens, and i learnt from it: don't open yourself up because you can go down on a bodyshot.
