I'd get 18oz. Rinside IMF Tech. You should keep using them until you cut a lot of that weight. Roadwork is a ***** my friend, enjoy.

I'm nearly 6ft and have very broad shoulders, 200 is the weight you wanna hit. 225 isn't heavy, it's super heavy, and you don't wanna eat superheavy jabs all day. Or maybe you do, I'm not your trainer, do what you gotta, but I know I'm fighting at 200 and eventually light heavy. Anyway for a heavy, or in your case a super heavyweight, definitely go with 18oz gloves for sparring and for bags.

Pretty much any of the top boxing names will do. Ringside, Title, Everlast, Century, and so on. Alot of fighters tend to get light gloves but they dont realize that they can hurt their hands like that. Get som 16's to train in and it will even help you come fight time when you fight with 16's.

                  no.....

                  you would fight with 12s.

anyway dont just go with any top brand and dont go with century. Get 18oz Ringside IMF tech gloves lace up. You will thank us later.

14 oz supper bag gloves would be the way to go.

a confertable bag glove that I use is top contenders. There not to expensive and they usually last a long time even the synthetic. But if you want top quality, you have to go with leather.

I never cared to much for Everlast. I just didn't like the feel. Ringside alwys had a good feel and so does top contender. You can get thse at www.combatsports.com . If you own a gym, maybe you can sign up and get a wholesale account and save ya a few bucks.

thanks guys for all your info! yeah i know 225 is still consider super heavy! but i want to drop to 230lbs then see how i feel and if i have to drop more i will but my main goal is the drop to 230lb then put on Muscle... the first thing i worked on was my bobbing and weaving! i guess i want to be like another tyson having raw power and fast for a heavyweight! i haven't sparred against a heavyweight yet at me gym but i have sparred a Light Heavyweight and a Super welterweight but there were new and i was able to corner both of them! i know if they throw me in the ring with a more experience person they will beat my ass! that is why everyday i like working on my bobbing and weaving when im hitting the heavy bag, double end bag and speed bag!
