  • Boxing....Career and Future

i need some advice....i am in pretty good shape! I run about 3 miles everyday and then do sprints (depending), i lift weights (low weight high rep), and i box constantly! I can do 8 4 min rounds on a heavybag going full out each round (prob 10-12 if i go more conservative.) That being said, i have a quick decent jab, and have all around good speed and power (always room for improvement!) BUT, i snack and eat A LOT but it doesnt seem to affect me..the only little bit of fat on me is on my lower stomach but i can take body shots and it doesnt affect my overall body.....what are your opinions? i wish to go decently far in boxing...will this little stomach fat hurt me? Thanks all!

hitting the heavybag all the time is not boxing. you can hit the bag til your blue in the face it wont mean you can do the same to another fighter. you say you can take body shots good? so do you go to a boxing gym? if you dont, dont talk about being able to take body shots, cause if thats the case, then you cant take body shots well. also, when you do start training at a gym, you'll find that asking if a little stomach fat will hurt your performance is a ridiculous question. You bust your ass day in and day out nonstop, you eat right, and your body will take you to where its gotta go.

I tried to be nice, chances are you will get ripped apart by somebody here, but just know, unless you work under a legit trainer, and have guidance, and mainly sparring, then you definitely dont "box" constantly...

Wyson: So because no one answered this post between 10:34 and 10:35 you decided to copy and paste the same same question and create another thread called my boxing.... at 10:36? Im kinda confused as to the point of that

SpeedKillz: no offense but hes not asking if he will be an amazing boxer even though he has alittle stomach fat

hes asking if his stomach fat will stop him from being an amazing boxer atleast i think

I think alot of people look at a long threads where people list their training and take it as bragging there fore instead of answering the question they ask the reader list off reasons why the original poster shouldnt be bragging when all along the original poster is just trying to list as much information as they can so they get the best answer they can perhaps, perhaps their just bragging
