Do you think it is safe to lose 13 kg in say 4 weeks as that is my goal. Does anyone think it is impossible or even dangerous to achieve this and if so why?
Losing weight safely

I don't know if it's even possible, but it's definitely not safe. It's suggested that 1 to 2 pounds per week is the most you try to lose. Otherwise the ratio of calories taken in to calories burned is too high and you are doing damage to your body. So to try and lose 3.25 KG's (7.15lbs) per week is rediculous especially if you are hoping to lose that weight for a fight.
The tiny amount of food you'd be eating and massive amount of exercise you would need to do would leave you exhausted after a couple days.
If you have a fight that you need to be at a specific weight for in 4 weeks you'll never make it. Talk to your coach and see if he can find you a different, heavier opponent, or postpone it for a while longer so you have more time to safely lose the weight. -
well, it definitely is not safe, but it can definitely be done. some fighters lose that much weight in 3-4 days. I have done massive weight draining quickly before a fight, and I have been fine. though I dont recommend to lose that much that quickly, but if u wanna fight at a certain weight, IMO, dropping that will not significantly hinder you or diminish your fighting skills. do what ya gotta do...Comment

4 weeks is more than a good amount of time to lose weigh, depending on how much you weigh and how much you're trying to lose. A month is a safe timeline to get your body in fight weight. I think cutting weight is dangerous and highly unhealthy. Speed and crack is a more healthy way to cut weight than cutting 30 pounds before a fight.

28 pounds, roughly 30lbs in a month? Damn, that's hella much Uhhh....if you can lose weight at a rate of 5-7 pounds a week or more, it could work. But that's hella pounds. You're weight's gonna fluctuate cus you gotta eat, and hydrate, and move your bowels. But if you put your mind to it, you'll be able to do it.Comment
