The sneaker is a slightly over handed right hook to the head delivered at the instant you force a break away from a clinch. In boxing it is illegal for you to use this blow or any other after the referee has told you to break. But you can use it before he orders a break-when you make your own break. In fist fighting you can use it when ever you get the chance.

Heres what you do in a clinch when you havent room to punch with either hand (assuming your fighting an orthodox boxer I guess)1 keep your head in close to the left side of your opponent's head, with your chin slightly over his shoulder. 2 maneuver with your left hand untill you can grab the inside crook of his right elbow and hold his right arm he cant punch with it. 3 get his left arm under your right arm and clamp your right hand under his arm just above the elbow just below the bicep. when you hold him like that he cant hit you and your in the position to break away for a sneaker. Suddenly yank him tight with your right hand then shove him violently away and almost in the same movement whip a right hook up over his left shoulder and down so that the striking knuckles smash into his jaw or temple

When delivered properly your opponent will drop like a poleaxed steer and if not he will be so groggy a few shovel hooks will finish him off

Not quite word for word but pretty much from Jack Dempseys championship fighting (1950)

When I was clinching to tie somebody up I would always get my arms inside of theirs and lift my elbows and tuck my head. Get your arms/elbows on the middle part of their arm and they cant hit you with anything. Remember though that tieing up is just part of clinching, you can also use it to gain control or take the advantage on the inside....................Rockin'

Dont clinch. Just throw a very low uppercut that never reaches past the belt line.
