Whats up, just want to know what preference you guys have with sparring headgear. I personally have only sparred with "training" headgear but have noticed others spar with "competition" headgear. I am leaning towards getting myself some competition headgear to get used to the feel of it. What are the pros and cons on usage of either or? Thanks in advance.

Competition headgear, it really has no face protection. Training headgear, well, it depends which type of training headgear you're referring to.

There are two types of training headgear, the one that covers the cheeks and the other with the facebar. The facebar is best for me.

Kind of dumb to wear competition headgear which doesn't protect the front of the face to train in. Kind of pointless since the first benefit of a head gear is against cuts.
