Hey guys, i was gunna get another pair of new gloves for training, ****ificly on the heavybag. i currently have a pair of winning 16oz i use for mitts, sparring, and heavybag and i am in complete love with em. but i was thinking about getting a pair of either grant or cleto reys to use on the heavy bag and just use my winning for mittsd and sparring. what do you think???
Grant vs Cleto Reys for heavybag work.

I'd recommend using the winning gloves only for sparring, and getting another pair for heavy bag and mitts. -

i would have to agree, i had the reyes 16oz training gloves from ringside, couldnt really do bagwork with them. Try out ringside imf tech for your bag gloves and then use your winning for mit and sparring. You dont want to break down your winning on the bags since they cost more to replace. You dont want to injure your hands during bagwork so get a pretty decent protective glove that is ok for bagwork i.e ringside imf tech. As for grant idk if i could recoment them on the bags, they offer good support but the knuckle padding is a little shorted with alot of extra room in the pocket.Comment

For the Grants there is alot of space inbetween your knuckles and the actual padding, if you wrap your hands with any type of pad on the knuckles you should be good. But i still wouldnt recomend them for bag gloves, these 2 types are for sparring. They will probably break down in less time then you are used to.
I would go with the ringside imf tech for your bag gloves and then just use winning for mitt and sparring.Last edited by I3C727; 03-29-2009, 08:08 PM.Comment
