I'm 6'3" 195 lbs. Not to sound ignorant, but what's a bridge?? You know I am always interested in your insights, j.
a bridge is the connection between you and your oppenent.
like, when you move in for a left jab and your right hand moves the opponents right forearm away. that right hand is using bridging to redirect that opponents arm away.
any connection, especially to gain control, is a bridge.
and yeah, u are a big boy. bigger than me. i fought under boxing rules against a guy about an inch taller than u and 80 pounds heavier. i can say u big boys are a helluva project to work with. even more so when trained.
i came out with a win - although we say tie - against a 6'3" or 6'4" 275 pounder. helluva 15 minutes i will say!
Yeah, and I usually don't throw a lot of uppercuts. I use my reach and my footwork typically, and it works pretty well, but when I use that uppercut counter, I find that slipping to the outside creates a pretty handy blind spot.
