I use either 16 or 18, but lately i have been forced to use 18 cause some of my sparring partners complained, i don't want to brag but recently i have been dropping people in sparring a lot, i don't try to hurt people on purpose but i guess **** happens.

It's not a big deal for me, i don't see much of a difference between the 16oz and the 18oz honestly.

Yeah i would, that guy is bigger than you and using smaller gloves, either get some 14oz or make the guy wear some 16oz.

Some gloves have more padding in the larger gloves, others have the same amount of knuckle padding but have small ball bearing weights sewn into the seam to get the exact weight. Seems to defeat the purpose a bit.

What do they use in Cuba? The Ecuadorians seem to follow alot of the Cuban type of training so I thought that why they use 12s here. I was surprised when they told me to buy 12s and I sure felt the punches in the few times I have been able to spar.
