  • OK I have a question

I have just come back from my 1st boxing session and I loved it to be honest. My trainer says he sees pottential in me but I have to work hard to get my full pottential out which is a fair point. But he also sais I fight like a pro fighter more than an amateur fighter, what does he meen by this I thought boxing was boxing and thats it.

    Thanks in advance,

    Joe

Maybe he was just being nice so you'd come back?

I have no idea after one session. How he can say that already is beyond me. But basically means that you fight ina a more conserative, relaxed style and may use a low guard.

If you loved it then you obviously were not trained well.

I guess that depends on the person. My first lesson lasted about an hour and a half and my trainer worked me so hard I threw up. Then I had to sit in my car outside the gym for about 15- 20 minutes because my arms felt like lead I could barley put them on the steering wheel to drive. Call me crazy, but after getting my ass handed to me like that I knew it could only get easier from there… sort of. I loved it!

That is sort of how I felt, and yes I threw up but 5-10 minute rest and I carried on. The 1st 30 mins felt like hell but at the end of it I realised it may be tiring and I may feel like absolute s**t but atleast I done it and I know that my fitness is poor so atleast I now know how poor it is and have people who can guide me in the right direction to sorting it out.
