golden gloves

I have been trying to find out the way golden gloves works. I know they have weight divisions of course but what does novice and the other divisions mean. Do they go by age or how many fights you have?

Any information would be very helpful. thanks.

10 + fights = open class
10 or less fights = novice class
some regions have a sub-novice class for dudes with less than 3 bouts.

i think the age groups are broken down like this: 17-34 years old is senior division. anyone younger is in the junior division, anyone older is in the masters division. some tournaments are have an under-19 division (17 and 18 year olds). you can check the usa boxing rulebook for all these questions. holla.
