  • What healthy food do you eat to satisfying cravings for junk food?

    I am slowly cutting weight and have picked up my cardio and cut down on the calories. So for the last couple of months no pizza, chips/crisps, burgers etc, though occasional small amounts of home made dessert etc.. Sometimes I get the craving to order a delivery pizza, or some crunchy cheesy snack or corn chips or whatever. So far I have kept the cravings at bay with a smoothie -skim milk, banana, peanut butter, egg white, other fruit and blended with ice to make it kinda like icecream.

    What are some other suggestions of nutrient rich snack that won´t blow out your daily calorie intake that satisfies cravings?

      Full yourself up on fruit veg and protein or a protein shake for a sweet tooth

            Well, for starter's if I'm craving mexican food, I'll go to a local taqueria and get a regular burritto, with chicken, rice, and black or pinto beans on a wheat tortilla.

              dry roasted Almonds, whole wheat pita with Humus,raisins, dried cranberries, baby carrots with low fat ranch dressing for dipping, there are tons just make sure you have them around.
              the best thing is to eat healthy meals very often I eat 6 small meals a day to avoid being hungry, its easy to make smart choices when your full.

                If I'm too strict on my diet, I balloon up any little time I fall off the wagon.
                Having much more success with doing extra cardio and just allowing myself the occasional craving. Certain things, like alcohol and sodas I've completely sworn off - stick with fruit juices (watered down if possible). My 4 main weaknesses are buffalo chicken strips, pizza, mexican food, and cookies. I do my best to limit them to once a week.

                    i eat pizza once a week, i also eat candy once in a while .. lol
