well Iv been sparring everyday and ****. but ok I was sparring with my friends and such ( yeah I know bad idea ) but we have been working with each other Iv been working with them on head movement and such all that good stuff. but my friend notices that after I slip a jab I turn my head then get cought. also when I cover up when people throw combo's I close my eyes. any idea what that is about? I'm not afraid to get hit it just happens and idk why.

oh and just thought I should tell you guys, Iv been sparring Nick Casal (its my trainers son) he is a pro boxer and not to brag or nothing but it was a pretty epic experience, but I was really intimidated and didnt do that well although he wasnt even trying

you proably shouldnt get too savage and ****...but you close your eyes because your powers want to come out so your body naturally concentrates on that. obviously you havent gotten there yet. when your true powers lash out, take on nick casal and its guaranteed that you will knock him the *** out of the ring.

Why is sparring with your friends a bad idea? I'm friends with most of the people at the gym I spar with.

Or do you mean you were sparring with friends that don't even train, when you were in your basement/garage/backyard?

closing your eyes is just a basic punch shy type of deal, you'll get over it, depending on how experienced your sparring partners are they can help you out, there's little tricks that will help you get over it, its in your head, its like a bad habit, might sound ****** but every now and then instead of putting all your effort into head movement and awesome combo's just try not to close your eyes lol

it goes back to your other post i think. its just experience. its the natural defense of your body to not enjoy getting punched in the face. its something youll get used to and you just have to push yourself to keep your eyes open even after you get hit. if you watch slomo vids of boxers getting hit even when they get hit their eyes are still open because they have trained their body to not flinch their eyes close even in battle. how are you in the later rounds of sparring after taking a few hits? usually for me after a couple of rounds of taking some shots i start to realize that its not so bad and my eyes get a lot sharper because im not worried about flinching/closing eyes from getting hit.
