Taking short breaks can be devastating to your training. I try not to take breaks, and if i do it's really really short. But i always try and stay sharp.
Regardless, i always take two weeks off at the end of the year cus of the holidays and what not.
Just stay in shape. If you're not in the gym, hit the road and go jogging. That way you don't have to make up so much. But then again it all depends on your mission. If you're trying to do the damn thing, you gotta keep it tight. But if you're just training to train because boxing is fun, then training is a little bit more relaxed.
