I want to fight in the southpaw stance full time though. Apart from my left hand, everything else feels much more comfortable. The jab is stiffer, faster and more accurate; my hooks/uppercuts are stronger and more explosive; even my footwork feels better.

The only problem is the straight left. Its hard to explain: it just doesn't feel "right". It doesn't feel powerful at all, quite sluggish and there's no snap.

I'll be working a lot on the heavy bag in southpaw, I'm starting to use my left hand for everyday things and I'm practising my technique punching with resistance bands.

    Any other ideas?
EVERYday things? are you sure? i highly recommend ************ with your left hand only.

    just kidding.

well, you can try heavybag drills, where you spend a few rounds JUST throwing the left cross from southpaw position. give it a shot! beware, your left arm/shoulder/everything will be more sore than usual, afterwards.

Haha I was waiting for someone to mention that lol!

I'm heading to the gym tomorrow, so I'll be giving the left cross a good session. Its going to be a while before my left has any real power in it, but I feel so much better in the southpaw stance.
