    first day training

    i started 1 mile in 8 minutes and 30 second
    then i ran in .20 miles at 8.5 miles per hours. (this is my first day running)

    do you guys think im doing a good job running for the first day at training??
    i talked to nate campbell and he told me to start with one mile.

    Its ok, not great, but its a start. The distance and speed you can run said distance will increase rapidly (relatively speaking) at first. Mix up the running, do long slower runs (eg 2 or 3 10minute miles), faster short ones (like you just did), multiple intervals (eg 6 x 400m) and sprints (eg 10 x 100m) and youll improve in all aspects.

      Yeah, i ran this weekend too. I did like 7 miles yesterday and 6 miles today, plus a little 2 1/2 mile on Saturday. It's aiite.

      I can run 5 miles in 40 minutes. 2 miles in 10 minutes you know...it's nuttin.

      One step at a time...at least you're running.

        so you could run 1 miles in less than 5 min. that pretty fast

          I dunno, i never ran one mile hella hard. i don't think it works like that. I still don't get the times myself. Technically, i'm not a runner.

            for 1 mile thats pretty poor tbh.. but most people when they start running do it around that time, as you get fitter your time will increase.

              2nd day i did 1 mile in 8 minutes and 20 seconds im trying to lower my time everyday until i get to like 5 or 6 minutes for now

                aaah i see the myth u need roadwork to be a successful boxer is alive and well.

                i may not have any "credentials" or "skills" as a boxer but i was once a prominent streetfighter round my neighbourhood, known as vodka fats (in my prime i was 5''10 and 220 lbs, with a streetfighting record of 36-22)

                i did hard time and kicked some serious ass

                to improve cardio i mainly used a method known as pig running, i basically committed a petty crime in front of a cop and then ran for it with them chasing me


                no streetfighter has ever used roadwork, back when i was 15 i took out a slick mofo known as daisy cool, the local tough cat... i did it weighing at 5''8 and 177 lbs, no roadwork no nothing, snuck up behind the cat and knocked his head in

                  For real, for real? 36-22? Did those include brawls with multiple people? Or just one on one? How did you manage to keep count? LOL.

                  I'd like to know more about your street fighting days. Seeing how you're 10 years older than me.

                    Pig running huh? LMFAO! That's the funnies form of training I've heard of, especially when more and more pigs come in to follow you
