  • should I lose weight or not?

Sometimes when I train I wear a wifebeater underneath my shirt to sweat more I know it takes out alot of sweat but I usually drink 3litres of water to replace it everyday anyways. Is there any point besides losing water weight , extra sweating is it good for you in anyway?

I weight 155-160 at my natural weight. My trainer says it's a nasty weight to fight at especially for newer people. He says the hits are harder. My first fight was with a 180 pounder and It was like 30 lbs difference and the hits weren't even as bad as I thought they'd be none of them jarred me. I'm thinking hey maybe If I fight at my natural weight for the first 5 fights it will be alright. Because fighting AM's with less than 5 fights is easier because they haven't yet learned to use their strength well yet.
after that I will think about getting down to 150 and staying there till I'm more experienced. Or should I just get to 150 weight division and fight in there even though I am most of the time training and fighting at my natural weight?
Any disadvantages for fighting with lower weight than natural weight for someone in AM's who has less than 5 fights. Don't get too technical though because I only have 1 fight that's only an exhibition.

your opinions will be appreciated thank you.

Do you mean your first sparring session was with a guy who weighed 180? Because I find it pretty hard to believe that you had an actual amateur fight with a guy 30 pounds heavier when you only weigh 155-160.

it might have been an exhibition and either way find a weight you're comfortable with and can still perform at.

Oh I think you're right, I just saw the part about an exhibition at the end.

yes I had a choice to pick a fight or an exhibition with a 180 was lied about the weight but I fought with someone a little over 180 in muscle.bi
          it was an exhibition.

what do you think? should I stay at my comfort weight and later go down or go down to 150 and get used to it right now
