Anybody have an urge to smile during sparring or any other bad habits?

Every time i spar someone smaller or bigger, i tend to smile at them when they land a good flush straight to my nose or my stomach. Maybe it's just me, but i think it pisses my sparring partners off more, and that's usually why I somehow control the fight near the end. I know its weird but when i get hit good I just nod my head and just give a big smile, and it's not to fix my mouthpiece from the inside or an uncormfortable quinch, from a punch to the eye, i just purposely smile, and i can't stop doing it lol.

Any of you guys have any bad habits or can relate?

(BTW i don't smile and let my guard down, because i could be knocked out, how embarrassing would that be.)

Its all about the mind games. When someone hits me hard in sparring, more importantly a fight, I always give em a big green smile (green mouthpiece dont worry :P). When I somtimes lose balance in sparring I just smile and shake it off.

In a match I had in september in the second round when I started taking control the guy hit me with his best shot, I just smilled at him untill I had him clinching me on the ropes and I said in his ear "you cant hurt me". He could of course hurt me, but that alone I believe won me the fight.

yea i do, sometimes i smile, laugh, even talk to them. sometimes i let them try and hit me and just make them look bad and make em miss then start dancing a little. that seems to piss people off the most. then they come in wild swing like crazy and i counter and theredead tired in a minute.

well this is sparring not a real fight, so is there really any need to act all ****y and ****?

i don't do it to act ****y, more like respect; more of a gesture saying "good shot" but they take it another way.

I don't necessarily smile at them when i hit them. Depending who i'm sparring with i'll either make sure they're okay, or show them who's boss.

I do nod my head if they land a good clean shot that i tried to defend.

If i see blood, that get my juices flowing. Call me sadistic or malicious, but if i serve some pain and i can see their reaction, it makes me want to "T" off on them.

If i'm just puttin hands on someone, i usually work with them a little bit. Work on my defenses, try different combos, angles....etc etc.

It's bad form to take advantage of someone.
