i would say use small weights to punch with its hard to tell if it actually works but there arent much exercises to get your hand speed better

when u can relax enough it loosens up your muscles to be able to change into movement faster.
Exactly! You've already got all the speed you'll ever have. Speed isn't something you learn; it's something you learn to let go of.

The best way is practice, sounds ****** because it's simple but thats because the answer is that simple. Pad work, bag work. Alongside that, wear no less than 14 oz. on the bag, if you're a biggish guy, go up to 16 oz. That wont make you any faster on the bag, but when you're in fight gloves you'll be faster and when you're sparring it wont be so bad wearing 16s.

I noticed my speed increased ridiculously when a coach came up to me, held the bag and goes "1", "1-2", "1-2-3" "1-2-3-4!". Sounds simple, but before that i'd practice fight combos, alot of jabs, a 1- (step in) -LH, or a 1-2 and so on. In fights you don't often land a jab, straight right, jab, straight right, but by practicing them you just gain speed, or atleast I did.

Exactly that, you need the muscle memory to develop proper technique, combined with typical speed training (over speed, strength, iso's) and you will see significant results.

heavy bag work. throw combinations at a short distance at a fast pace. develop that twich muscle (snap in you punches). shadow box with 2-3 pound weights without full extention on you punches keep them short.

repitition is the best way to improve speed.
the more you do something, the better you get at it, so just practice all your punches as often as possible, maybe in front of a mirror, and try to eliminate all excess movement.

... spar more and more. the only way you're going to get faster is if you react faster to punches. getting hit in the ring is what really sparks you're senses and reflexes. the bags are good for conditioning, the speed bag IMO just for conditioning. nothing like the real thing to make you faster, not a simulation which has limits.
