Fcuk yeah shadowbox with your gloves on. And your mouthpiece in too. I usually shadowbox/hit the bags with 14oz gloves and spar with 16oz. The heavier the gloves the better.

So yes, shadowbox with your gloves one.

Fo Sho!! It helps with the cardio, clinches your jaw, you're going to be using a mouthpiece in the ring anyways so might as well train with one.

When you get fatigued, it helps biting down on your "gumshoe". That's what the Euros call it.

I could have sworn it was "gumshoe"....maybe it was the accent.

              "Gumshield"..."gumshoe" sounds cooler. LoL.

Its only gumshoe when you put your shoe in your mouth... an effective substitute for a Gumsheild... only tried it twice and have all my teeth so i dunno

I believe this routine does help with speed and staying snappy. It doesn't just build up shoulders. I wear gloves sometimes when I shadow to cool down, and obviously wear them on the double end bag. You will wear it for most of session so it won't make much of a difference wearign them when shadowboxing. Either way, it is OK IMO. If you like to do it with gloves all the time, try it without at other times because this helps you concentrate on perfecting form and precision. Whichever way you are doing it, always use ya imagination when shadowboxing!
