  • I don't ****ing get it?

    I have the cardio of a ****ing fat boy. This has been bothering me for a while.
    I am 5"11 and 154lbs. I have a pretty decently shaped body and flat stomach.
    I have been training in boxing for 7 months now.
    I can't seem to get enough stamina for 3 rounds x 3 minutes I always start getting out of breath. It's pathetic all my mates are going to tournaments and I'm still training at the gym and only have 1 exhibition match.
    I used to eat a **** load of nasty food before I boxed like high cholestrol and since I wouldn't get fat I ate alot. especially meats. I stopped and have been eating healthier ever since I started boxing but still eat alot of meat.
    I do the usual warm up routines about 5 days a week. and do sparring 2 days a week.

    please help me sometimes I just cry that my trainer thinks that I'm no good and he never does any training with me and just ignores me while other boxers are getting praised.


    My main question is what should I eat that's good for my heart and makes it stronger?

    and what workouts do you encourage to get me increase my cardio by a vast amount like should I do cardio without eating breakfast or something?

    and last what are the symptoms of asthma? I was diagnosed with it when I was 16 but I don't believe it and the medication was expensive so I totally ingnored it and never went back the doctor that diagnosed me with it.

    to increase stamina: Jump rope, run, do more bag work, shaddow boxing, and sparring. Jumping rope and running helped me w/ my stamina.

      I do all that **** is there like workouts that are not common that increase the cardio by alot.

        Yes there is a cardio excersice called HIIT. Its where you start off jogging for like 3 mins then you take off running for 1 min then job for 1 min then run for 1 min then job and so on. Here are some articles about HIIT.

        ohh and to answer your earlier question you should only not eat breakfast and do cardio if you are trying to loose fat.

            Then do all that ****. HIIT, LSD, Burpees, jump rope..etcetc.

            It seems liek you aren't doing enough cardio/roadwork. There is no 'secret' or easy method... just hard work

                I didn't really want like something easy just something that works cardio very efficiently.

                Hits sounds very good.

                And I found out I did have asthma before but it's not as severe now.

                  I wouldnt even worry about all that high intensity stuff for 3 x 3 rounds. When you run, start running harder. When you get tired push through your fatigue. Thats what its all about. Not giving up once you feel a bit tired. When you hit the bag throw more punches. Spar more rounds, sparring doesnt always have to be hard with power shots, lay of the power practise your technique and get the rounds in, for fitness. Relax when you spar too your nerves may be draining your energy. The only way to improve is to keep training.
