Don't go thinking about minomycin or roaccutane unless you have it severe. In my younger years i didn't have it bad, a 6. I have no scars at all now.

Nothing worked. Other then this and i tell you this, with 100% trust. Go to your nature store near you. Talk to the person who works there.

    Get high grade fish oil.

    And high grade zinc tablets.

Gone completely within 2-3 months. No quick fix. But this is easily the best.

p.s use neutorgena acne wash 3 times a day. rub it around, so dead skin cells exfoliate.

    You will be good then!

so just use some lotion after you shower, and you should be fine, thats all i do and i rarely get acne.
Moisturizer is the worst. Don't touch it. Acne wash 3 times a day - neutrogena. Make sure you rub it in for a while, gets rid of dead skin cells.

Washing my face every morning right when i wake up. then i shave. i used to only shave every few days and wear some 5 oclock shadow, but now i shave every day. it helps. i use astringent too afterwards.

then i go to the boxing gym to work out. then at the gym, i wash my face sometimes too, depending on what i do. for example, when i spar, as soon as i take off the headgear, i go wash my face and use oxy pads to deal with the acne-inducing sweat/vasoline combo. that is usually the biggest culprit.

when i get home, i shower and use another astringent. my roommate has some of this in the cabinet and i've been ******* it lately and it works amazingly well: http://www.kiehls.com/_us/_en/men/bl...bal-lotion.htm im gonna have to get some of my own!!!

i make sure to wash my face before i go to bed too. this training-induced acne is annoying, but im finally getting it under wraps. good luck!
Get acne neutrogena wash. I used it for years. Only thing that works. Not pro active, nothing.

Every time you work out. Use it after. Etc etc. Even up to 5 times a day. Rub it in hard so no dead skin cells.

Eating healthy isn't major. I think the face washing is. But healthy eating helps.

Honestly, the thing that killed acne for me.....all those years ago was sunbathing on a foreign holiday and getting a tan, not burning! You have to be careful not to completely overdo it and please dont think that I'm endorsing something that overdone can cause premature aging of the skin and/or skin cancer. But it really works and not just in the short term and there are vitamin D benefits! If you dont live in a hot country you could consider sunbeds, but I wouldn't use them more than three times a week for a month.....they can get addictive and can do you more harm than good.

The reason it probably flared up was due to the increased testosterone ( male hormone ) that your body is producing more of due to boxing training and the increased salt on the skin from sweating.

Creams, overwashing, poor diet, moisturisers can all make it worse, I never found one that helped, and dont touch minocycline, I think its banned in the UK, It was linked to fluid on the lungs or something from what I remember.

Thing about acne is (as you can see from this thread) something that works for one person won't necesarily work for others.

Some people say a certain product doesn't work, some say it works great. Some say use moisturizers, some say don't touch them.

Some say bad diet/sugary foods have no effect, for others (like me) drinking a can or two of coke or even gatorade causes them to break out. When I started boxing, I started having more acne than usual. I thought it was just from all the sweat. Then I was reading the package of gatorade one day and saw the first ingredient (in the powder you have to add water to) was sugar. I already knew that drinking coke and other soda made me break out so I decided to stop drinking gatorade. I had been drinking 500ml's/day while training. Literally within a week of stopping, my acne got dramatically reduced.

I took accutane for a couple months when I was younger and while it didn't cure it completely, it's never been anywhere near as bad as it was before I took it. It's a pretty harsh drug (I had to get a blood test every month I was on it - yikes!) so they only give it to you when other pills or perscription creams don't work. So if you can't seem to get it under control with various cleansers etc from the store, see your doctor because their are drugs that can help.

Right now I just use a cleanser first thing in the morning and in the shower after my training. I also use oxy pads at the gym as I'm changing to go home, or sometimes even right when I'm finished sparring to get the vaseline, sweat and dirt from gloves off.

There is some horrible advice given here..
Listen man the best thing for you to do is check out the site i gave you earlier..
I can vouch for it because when I was 15 I started to have bad breakouts
I was on a precription benzaclin and differin.. they cleared me up ina few months

out of nowhere, i didnt change anything, i began to break out massively..
long story short i took accutane for 6 months. i regret it because till this day my skin is fair now.. its still sensitive as hell..

                dont f with accutane..

I wish i discovered this website before i went on accutane but it was too late, i was already on my cycle..
the BP gel is amazing i use it every night (except when i go out to party) and i recently started using the moisterizer (its OK)..

I have an oily T zone

I reccomend you wash your face twice daily, if you wash more you strip your face of natural oils it needs to stay balanced..
washing 3 times a day will force your skin to produce more oil because its dehydrated and it will worsen your situation..

the best thing is to educate yourself with non biased opinions and that site is great. i can vouch for it because i use its products..
                im clear now btw

Thankfully I don't suffer with acne and never did during my teenage years, bar a few spots which are normal for most teens.

                  1) WATER, WATER, WATER. Drink water all the time and your skin will be clear.

                  2) Please take a shower after training, and after you wake up. Thanks.

                    I take two showers everyday.

One shower before i train so i have a clean body. And naturally one after training so i can have a clean body.

It the pesperation and the pores. Your pores aren't breathing. That's why all the dirt and oil get trapped and secreted under your pores.

                    But i'm not a doctor.
