I have never had this problem, i went to four different gyms over the course of my life, 1 boxing gym, 2 mma gyms and the boxing gym i am currently training at.

I mean, yeah the training equipment can stink, gloves and head gear. But the whole place smelling like ass? I have yet to see that.

Anyway, for the equipment stinking part, i use my own gloves/head gear. So i don't have to endure the smell of others.

This is getting disturbing, but for the 2nd time in ten minutes I do agree with you! The only thing that smells are people and used gloves which are there for tramps, and you don't need to get involved with either. However, the MMA gyms are full of fat bums who are not good enough for the bigtime of boxing. They train at a snails pace (just as they fight) for several hours and are unlikely to break a sweat!

not a weird thread at all. i feel you on this dawg. yes a stank ass smell is normal, i mean its a gym, it comes with it. but theres this 40-50 yr old woman that kicks the heavy bag n **** with her socks off and **** and dam. you can smell her from across the room. i feel like leaving once i see her. ***** stank it kinda distracts me. and if i fight and the dude im fightin smells like ****, id have a sense of urgency. get em out there quick.

It's the lone reason that I refuse to take BJJ and wrestling classes. It's bad enough that the other guy's sweat is landing on me when boxing or Muay Thai, but when you're rollin' on the mat, f**k no, I can't stand that ****.

I am more scared of a man's armpits on my face than the thought of passing out from a rear naked choke. I ain't jokin' either
