I suppose one could say, boxing idiot savants.
Some fighter do have a natural sense of how to fight, but most have developed it through muscle memory or reaction. A great fighter doesn't think slip, they slip. Some naturally do it, most train for it.

I know of fighters that counter and slip because they were taught that way from square one. I have also known trainers that train everyone to box or pressure fight. These types are not as good at slipping.

My philosophy when training rookies isn't to teach them to slip the jab and through a counter. I give them the basics because a jab is jab no matter your style. I teach them the 4 basics (jab, right/left, hook and upper cut) then teach them how to defend the 4 punches.

Once they have these down, get them sparring and find their best style.

    Oh, my point.

That intelligence also depends on training. I've seen too many kids turned into pressure fighter when they should be boxing or vice versa.
