The abs is a muscle group that has had my full attention for years..

I started off on 1000 situps a day
            everyday bar sunday

Stopped that after about 2 years and my six pack is there.
Now i do 400 situps, then leg raises off the floor for a minute
Then 100 crunches to top it off and thats my daily routine again bar sunday day of rest...

              5 flags> 100 crunches any day
              5 ab wheel rollouts> 100 crunches
              extended bridge> Bridge

Increase the difficulty of exercise as often as possible to see results quickly, rather than spending an hour doing continuos situps and crunches. Do some V-ups, etc. Theres a ****load of sites on the net, so look around and stop being lazy.

People who say they're reeling off x hundred crunches and shi are obviously doing them wrong; using hideous technique and form.

If you do the exercises correctly you should ideally be working in the 15-20 rep range.

Your second question I don't know how to approach, I don't think you could be asking a more general question.
