I have said it a few times, people seem to be reluctant because they are a new brand but Rival gloves are the best gloves i ever used. I recently bought some 14 oz bag ones and 16 oz sparring ones and i couldn't be happier, not only do they offer the best protection but they are really comfortable and durable. I used grants, everlast and title gloves to hit the bag in the past and i go through a pair every 6 months, i had my rival for 2 months now and they are the same as when i bought them, padding hasnt even softened up.

I can't say they offer the most protection because I haven't tried every brand, but Rival gloves are great.
Depending on what model you get, they aren't very expensive either. I have the "Super Bag Gloves" (http://rivalboxing.com/e/rb2-e.html). They were only $60CDN +shipping and they are outstanding.Last edited by ScottDBA; 10-24-2008, 09:57 PM.

IMO you just need a pair for sparring and a pair for bag work, so your sparring gloves dont wear out
