which boxing shoes should I buy lo or hi

I really like the look of the hi-tops but what are the advantages and disadvantages between hi top and lo top.
What is the best hi-top shoe I could buy.

I've been wondering about buying these but would like your expert opinions first.

I'm wearing this right now is it alright for boxing I do sparring and should have a match within 2 weeks. Is this good or is it really bad. They're basketball shoes.

So if you have a recommendation please gimme a link or a name.

Dont get any Jordans. They are heavy as **** and just there to look good. If your light get the lo tops and if your heavy get the high ones. They just support your ankle more and limit your movement.

I am kind of heavy around the 160lb and most of my weight is in my thighs. So is the high tops better. My fighting style is not very jumpy and I am usually not all over the place.

      Which shoes do you recommend?

the old (roy jones jr.) jordans rule. people who think they're too heavy need to start doing some squats or something. they're about the weight of a running shoe.

Personally I wouldn't buy super high top boots like that, and if I did I'm sure I could find a pair cheaper than $120.

But if you feel the need to look fancy in your expensive shoes go for it. Hope they don't get stolen.

I like the Adidas Pro Bout better:

It's very well made, comfortable and gives support.
