    not too much of a difference. i have 18 oz hook and loop ringside imfs which are awesome. the velcro allows an easier time taking them on and off

    i also have 16 oz grant pros. these are awesome too. they are lace up. i feel the laceup offer better wrist support, but they take longer to put on.

    if its a good quality glove, either will be fine. its just a matter of slightly better wrist support (laceup) vs practicality (velcro)

      Velcro does me fine, never had a wrist problem, if you do just use more of the hand wrap on your wrist. Who wants to waste time doing up laces all the bloody time.
