  • Trying to balance out working out and boxing

    Hey everybody, I got kinda of a problem in my training routine. I was going to the gym lifting weights for a while but now Im also boxing. I know they say boxers arent supposed to lift weights but I wanna get a bit stronger, not buff. I dont wanna be a big muscle freak but I wanna be cut while aso doing boxing. Now my question is how do I try and balance boxing and working my muscles out? Noe day one thing one day another or what? Thanx.

    Why would you want to balance it out? I only workout for boxing. if you are lifting weights for other reasons, then hang up them gloves and get some steds. if you are doing light weights for your boxing, then you are working out for your boxing and there is nothing to balance out. Personally, i would prefer calisthenics, chin ups/dips to light weights. I just do not believe that boxing can be a part time hobby. It must be do or die for your own safety. All or nothing!
