How can explosive strength in 6 months??

    Hey all,

There is a boxing competition on a university level in 6 - 7 months.
I'm 18 years old, an amature in boxing and pretty weak. i know the basics of boxing.

I'm currently on a two days workout, two days rest workout plan to gain strength. Should i be practicing boxing or should i work out to gain strength?

And can any one give me any tips on anywork outs, diets or on what i should really focus on right now to strength my boxing skills and increase my chances of winning?

i'd greatly apprectiate it and thanks.

forget stretgth completly, boxing more about boxing, than strength,

the way the amature point scoring system works means you wanna learn more on how to box and score points rater than knocking people out, wich is rare in the amatures, fucos on your jab mainly and parctice feinting and ****ing it out to score those points.

okay, join a proper gym and start training hard for the comp

forget about strength training, just go to a boxing gym and start learning boxing skills

strength wont really help much in am boxing where scoing points is the objective...esp at novice level
