I bin trying to keep in decent shape just in case, but Im not sure if people would consider me kind of old to be entering the golden gloves at 22. I know its legal, but is it kind of old?

Unless there is a legal age restriction, which you said there isn't, I say that you're only too old for Golden Gloves if you're too old for boxing, and you're never too old for boxing. Forget about age. If you want to fight, you fight. If you don't, you don't.

I am 30 and I was in the Chicago Glove last year, and will do it again this coming year. My wife is 33 and she was in it too. You’re never too old!! I do think at 34 they try to make you fight in the Master division, but I am not sure.

It all depends on your habits, background, lifestyle and athletic potential. What is written in your genes has a lot do do with what you will achieve if you make the effort. Nevertheless, if you are wondering if you are too old it probably means you are.

Age is whatever you think it is. You are as old as you think you are.
