Yes true but a good boxer isn't neccasry a good street fighter either, because on the streets people use weapons, wrestling, kicking, charging etc... Reason boxing is a sport is because of the rules/styles etc that go with it. Hence the fact Naseem Hamed got battered in a pub recently. (my mate from sheffield said that hes always getting in trouble since the hit and run incident).
yeah, a streetfight doesn't happen in a boxing ring, but boxing teaches good balance and other things useful in any kind of fighting
