Does fishing help you with boxing??

Hey my name is Henk and i love boxing since the day i can remember.
I never went to a boxing gym cause i didn't really have time, i was more busy with fishing and playing video games. Now at 35 i feel sorry that i never did boxing cause i really think i have talent. So next week im planing to sign in a boxing gym and my goal is to fight in the top level , I know the odds are against me but i will do my best.

Now what my question was, did i waste my life with fishing or does being a good fisher give you any advantage in boxing. BTW i have played the fight night games almost dailly since 2004 so i got a lil bit ring expercience, i know how the different styles work, how to parry shots, counter,...
