After seeing Marg destroy Cotto by non stop punching and coming forward I have been shadow boxing non stop and sparring for hours instead of bike and running machine. Would this benefit me more?
depends how long your fights are, how fit you are overall.
if you need to run/bike to keep your stamina do that.
if youre fit enough and want muscle endurance and technique shadow box with light weights/spar alot
Why can't you just do both? It's great that you're doing something but if you choose to do only one of those pairs then either your technique or your cardio will suffer, I would just recommend making time for both. I don't believe it's hurting you but I dont think it's helping you more than just a little less shadow boxing and a little more cardio.
Well I will still maintain jogging, bike machine etc but would it benefit me to do more of this than the jogging? I'm pretty fit and I'm going to attempt making 140 lbs so I don't want to sacrifice anything in getting that low (lowest for me in a long time) and I want to maintain my a high punch out put.
