Tryin to get into Boxing

I was just wondering how much weight i would gain if i start boxing or am i able to keep the weight im at and just box.
I'm about 5'11-6'0 and about 139ish- is that a healthy weight to go into boxing?

average height for light welters varies like any other div cos of different builds and that but i'd say around 5''7-5''10 just a rough estimation based on the heights of some prominent light welters....dont worry about your height weight etc just yet. boxing accomodates all different shapes and builds etc

also, i seriously doubt you will gain weight while doing boxing training...if you did you would be the first i have ever seen.

Weight and conditioning are two of the biggest fears and most common questions I think I see, and I see it everywhere on the net for people thinking about starting.

You wanna box? You get your butt to a boxing gym and it will all sort itself out. It's just that simple...

dont fuss on weight and height,

your just starting off, learnt he basics jab hook, right, footowrk, see how good you are at sparring ect......then if you mabey get a fight then worry about weight

my boxing gym used to be 50p (25$) a session its now £1 (66$)

is the dollar sign the same for cents?


Anyway, it can cost alot more like monelty expensive memberships, most are cheap though
