    Reach?? Arm Length???

My first question is I'm 5'6 and my arm length is 24 inches (measured from underarm to the end of my fist). Is this average? Shorter than usual?

My second question is in "tale of the tape" i sometimes see arm length and sometimes i see reach. How do you measure reach? It looks to me like the "reach" is more than just both of your arms length combined. For ex, Paul Williams reach is about 81', i dont think each of his arms are 40.5 inches long?

I believe that reach is basically wingspan. I think its the distance from one fingertip to another when the boxer's arms are outstretched to both sides. It would include the distance across the boxers chest.

Reach = Stand in a T-Shape, then it's fingertip to fingertip. Isn't really very accruate as it takes into consideration back/chest width.

Arm Length = underarm to fingertips. More accruate.

yeah, having broad shoulders can make your reach look longer than it is.
