  • 1) When someone obnoxiously yells like king kong each time they hit the bag.

    2) When someone doesnt use deodorant.

    3) When someone hasnt brushed they're teeth for 2 weeks, is tryin to have a conversation with you about technique while panting in your face with **** breath.

    4) When rookies come in the Gym, thinkin they're the baddest mother ****ers on the planet.

    5) When someone steals my Gloves and starts working out with them like they're theirs, reguardless of my last name written on them.

    6) When someone steals my favorite grey rope, then cant even skip properly with it.

    7) When your sparring someone your size, hes wearing headgear, gets hit with 16s, an doesnt want to spar anymore because he got hit too hard. (take a knee *****)

    8) When people skip the 2 hour class, then want to spar people who did the class afterwards, like they just didnt workout.

    9) When people talk **** about other members of the Gym, how they're better and can beat there ass, how bad the person is. (who gives a ****, everyone is there to learn)

    10) When people go all out on the bag, like they are a super phenom, get winded and cant even complete a 2 minute round.

I can go on for days, but I'll stop at 10, lol

    • Hopefully I'm not annoying to anyone haha.
I am just starting and am a slow learner though. But all I do is listen and keep my mouth shut.
I am mainly doing it to get in great shape and learn the sport I love. Physically I dont even know if I should box because I have a bad case of Pectus Excavatum, I just have a huge dent in my chest.

      • I mostly pay attention to myself so nothing really bothers me. Sometimes I watch the sparring but I don't really critique people I just watch to see how they fight.

        • I hate that guy in every gym that has been there for years but still feels he has to prove him self by trying to knockout the new guy in his first sparring session. Just drives new people away from the sport.

          • i hate (and like) those guys that just can't go easy on a guy.. new or old, especially when ur not feeling it that day.. but then it's more fun to go hard, cuz u wanna prove that u actually are better, heheh.

by the way, i do try to punch the heavy bag hard u know? but thats cuz i wanna know if i have a KO punch or not, i dont really have one.. i mostly ask 'is that good?'

              • My couch's passion for music during training.

Nothing against music, but crappy hip hop is very, very annoying.

And he turns that crap on every god damned day of training.

(this is not hip hop bashing, btw... it's a thread about personal perspectives. If you like it, more power to you.)

                • I hate dudes that are new and think they have power because theyre big... While being big, and when I say big I mean muscle not fat, it can help your power but not if you dont know how to punch in the first place... Dudes that think they can punch in a boxing match the way they can on the streets are the first ones to leave when they come expecting to dominate cuz theyre big.. You may have the strength/power but it means nothing if you dont know how to use it is what im trying to say... I havent sparred in my new gym yet they said probably a few months because i lost alots of fundamentals that i learned from my uncle who used to train me and need to work on those for a lil bit again before i do any sparring again, but trust me, ive been that dude, thinking cuz i was stronger than my sparring partner that i was going to knock him out, but you cant knock someone out if you cant hit them, or without knowing how to/being able to hit them properly.... Though really I dont like to go hard in sparring, for me i like to refine my technical ability, i dont mind an occasional hard sparring session but usually go about 70percent. I hate it when dudes try to KO theyre partner, save it for the ring, where it matters most.

Oh and people who lie about what they do in the gym, for instance, tonight i was there and doing sit up exercises, and this kid quit halfway through the workout, and started hitting the heavybag... hit it for 2 rounds, then just sat there for about a half hour talking to the kid who works at the desk, but then when my trainer asks him how many rounds did you hit the bag, he says 6. I felt so bad like ratting his ass out but that's not the type of person I am, this kid is constantly doing that though and hasnt even had a fight yet, and is supposed to be fighting within a month... So I figure that he'll find out the hard way that you cant just "slack" off during training..

I could really probably go on, but as someone else posted, not much of anything actually bothers me unless its something that personally affects me. Some **** I hear/see will make me say to myself "what a ***" or "liar", or how ******, but thats just because its stuff that i would never think to say or do, so its not that it really irritates me, just isnt my cup of tea if you know what i mean

lol ha yea. That doesn't actually bug me so much as it's kinda funny and slightly ******. Me and a guy in our gym, guy who I've learned the most off of have a code word for it's go time. That is "technical spar'... cuz every time we try to do that it ends in a war.

A kinda funny story is a guy coming to our gym from a rival gym after losing the main event to one of us, saying he just wanted to get some sparring in with us. Ok right, that's cool. Well he goes in the locker room and comes out in the same tassles and shiny silk robe he wore the night he lost. wtf? ok then whatever no biggie but a bit strange.

Then says, "Ok guys lets go light". and comes out swinging for the fences. at 90 mph.

Was fairly obv he wanted some revenge and he did get some freebie shots in at the beginning, but ultimately left wupped once again, his tassles in a twist and shiny robe shamed one more time...
