I had the same idea last year; I figured if I could sprint for a full round I would be able to go after my opponent like one of those zombies in 28 Days Later.
I don't believe a two-minute sprint can be done without a professional coach and a lot of research into the mechanics of running. I started at 10-second intervals, and eventually found that the furthest I could hold a full-on, not-slowing-down sprint remained about 30 seconds -- even after about 6 months of hard training, stretching, and puking. That 30 seconds kept covering a greater and greater distance, but I would start to slow down not long after that. All that said, my stamina in the ring was awesome while I was doing it.
I have no doubt it can be done, but I don't believe that the energy you'd need to dedicate to it is worth it. Work up to 20 minutes of 100- and 200-meter sprints. That's closer to your expenditure while boxing, anyway.
