Dont worry about whats high in what just make sure its healthy. Fruits and veggies are high in carbs relative to the other nutrients. Oatmeal, cereal, and even candy, just stay away from sugary stuff. Go on google and search for some calorie calculators and such, they usually tell you how many carbs, protein, fat, calories are in common foods. If your just looking for a boost before a workout eat 2 bananas an hour before.

Simple carbohydrates are good for a quick boost to your muscles whereas complex carbs are best consumed in the morning for sustainability and also after a workout to replenish your healing & growing muscles.
Simple carbs are stuff like:
Fruit, Honey, Soft drinks, Tinned Fruit, Bread made with white flour, Most 'big name' cereals
Complex carbs are stuff like:
Brown rice, Multi-grain Bread, Oats, Various Veg, Lentils, Wholewheat Pasta
Obviously watch your intake of simple carbs as they contain a lot of sugars. But, bulk up on the complex carbs for extra fuel.
