Some men can do more drunk than other men can do sober. It all depends on the talent you were born with. However, sooner or later you will have to face somebody who is capable of punishing you for your sins. Discipline, or lack of it, is nothing more than a habit. Party animals are slackers. If you are a slacker in the gym you will be a slacker in the ring. Every slacker has lost fights he should have won. So unless you are super talented, you will pay for every sin committed and it won't take long for the bill to come due.Comment

I wrote the book on this...
You need to stop drinking to be successful. If you can have one or two occasionally than fine but if you are like me and can't stop than you need to cut it out completely. I am trying to practice what I preach but whatever...Comment

At least you realize its ****, danny. I have no respect for people that say its good for you, that it won't hurt, that ****. Once you have it instilled into your own mind that its no good, stopping it is a piece of cake.Comment

I quit drinking over 30 years ago. Don't miss it a bit. All it amounts to is habit. Quit one habit, pick up another, hopefully healthier and more constructive. It is not easy to break old habits, but it can be done. First you have to want something different, then it is no so very difficult.Comment

However, you are not allowed booze when you are fighting a war in the desert - preventing dehydration. However, i have it on good authority that a blind eye is often turned (in the British Army atleast).Comment

As for drinking, i love going out, getting drunk etc.
But to be truthful - if I have a fight, i wont drink for a month before the bout. Not only because i need to usually lose a few lbs's. But also because I want to be fresh enough to run the next day and i'm **** in the gym for 1 or 2 sessions after the binge.Comment
