is it the guy you are body sparring in your video?
if so i'm not surprised, i know that a sparring excersize and not real sparring but he could've taken your head clean off with an uppercut on numerous occasions. Fairly good work on the outside though.

all ill say is if your fighting 6 inches under someone you have to get in on the inside and work the body. i cant help you that much because im a 6'1 middleweight

watch a few fights of Winky Wright, should help ya out a bit,
all ya have to watch out for is those straits that split the
            guard and those left hooks

Firstly keep your guard up at all times, use lateral footwork to enable you to come in from different angles and therefore allowing you to hit at differrent angles. Controlling the pace of the fight should be your goal as to get round the a longer reaching jab and cross. And remember not to get get upset or intimidated if you catch a shot(s) just stay cool headed.

Yo sterling, i feel ya i got the same problem. Except the guy i spar is about my weight.

What i find works pretty well is using a double jab, the first one falls slightly short and then step in with the second. I use that often, sometimes he counters my first jab so i slip that then step in. Dunno if that'll work for you cause you have a bigger hight disadvantage than i do.

                  Good luck anyway.

                  PS-Nice sig

i think your answer is just to carry on going. different things work for different people and scenarios. we dont know your or your opponents ins and outs. just perservere, patience is a virtue
