word, i was 142.4 after working out today. i'm about 145 right now with a full belly. i fight on the 16th, so i should be able to make it.

a lot of people are against dropping down in weight for the ams, but when you weigh 147 or 148 and are fighting guys who come down in weight to make 152... i'd definitely say it's worth it. it's 6 minutes of actual fighting. i'm not saying it's legit to starve and dehydrate yourself, especially since you weigh in only a few hours before you fight. but there is definitely a right way to go about dropping weight.

The point of this thread was to let everyone know "Hey! I am not another one of you keyboard jockeys, I actually do all the ****ing work I talk about."

This thread has nothing to do with ego. I made this because of D1ACATUS' thread on bull**** fights and fighters.

I am not some keyboard jockey. I am an actual fighter, who actually trains, and actually works his ass of to make weight like everyone other fighter on the planet.

On another note, it really is no that hard to get a six pack. The impressive thing is shredded obliques.

If your eating regular (healthy of course leading up to competition) and your still hydrated (meaning you having stopped or severelly cut down your water intake recently) then you'll be good and can possibly compete at 135lbs. Losing 5% body or your body weight isn't really that hard and is pretty safe and easy to rehydrate from.

1 good workout with multiple layers or a sauna should do it.

However if your already dried out and I mean dried out then that 1.2 is going to be hard to lose or when you rehydrate your going to feel significantly weaker. Not regular strenght but that explosive pop strength.

I wrestled in HS and College so making weight was always a concern.
That was a wet 142.2 at the doctors office. I don't dry out to make weight. I make weight for real. If I am fighting at 141, I am going to be walking around at 141 wet.

I could possibly dry out to 135lb, if I go on a diet I could probably make 135lb naturally, but I am comfortable at 141lb.

as far as i know there is no 135 weight class. unless they allow you to fight at 132 if you weigh 135. i'm not really sure how much over you're allowed to be. i think for tournaments you need to weigh exactly whatever the weight limit is (or less).
