i think a lot of it is wat i would call body shots. i mean it wouldnt hit the head of a guy the same height as you. also, between jab, put your left hand back near your face. you have a tendency to hover, which wont help you block shots.

and my one piece of advice is: it looks like u dont know how to throw ur hook, either with ur palm down or palm faced in... towards your body..

try to throw hooks with ur palm facing in..

          good luck

i can throw my hooks both ways but i prefer this way as i ghet more power and is quier and feels much more natrual for me,

anyway im gonna clean my garage out a bit and post anoter one

thanx for everyone who comented back it really helps me

o yeah i added the music to make it a bit more intresting

In view of the situation I'd say you were doing alright. You made a number of mistakes, many of which have already been mentioned. However, these mistakes might have a lot to do with the situation, garage, camera etc. One thing anybody who knows boxing can see is that you obviously have potential. The question is, how will you develop your talent and will you make good use of it?

At your age, and with your natural ability, you can easily develop a set of boxing instincts if you put your mind to it. The older you get the more difficult it becomes. Put yourself on a program of discipled training, a clean lifestyle and keep your mind on what you need to do be successful. If you have the motivation you can go a long way in boxing.

Regarding the hooks ..... it should definately be palms in, other than that, and bringing your left back to guard after throwing the jab .... not bad at all for your 1st year. Someone mentioned measuring the jab and telegraphing the right hand ... that will change with experience, try a double or even triple jab, perhaps switching to downstairs, then overhand right, the more you mix it up the less you will telegraph ... keep up the good work mate
