    i have been boxing for a year now im 16 and i want to work for a year then join the army would it be possible to box in the army and then maybe when i leave in 4 years time could i turn pro and does anyone know what its like to box in the army cheers

    yes you can box in the army but it's more about fitness than skillz.

      boxing is huuuuuuge in the army, nigel ben started boxing at 19 in the army

            yeah it gets you fit, disciplined and tougher so its ideal for soldiers

              Talk to MickeyHatton he was a boxer in the forces.

              I have heard though you can't box at 16. you have to wait till your 19 before you can....i think...

              though not sure.

                Yeah, you're right. i boxed in the army reserves, i left 2 years ago. You generally have to be around 19 and its something you generally have the opportunity to do after having completed basic training and any specialisation. The army has its own boxing association/team. I suggest you contact aba@ascb.uk.com for more information.

                  yeh u can my coach went to the olyampic trials but lost in the first round because he wasnt there mentally because his dad died.
                  He became a great fighter because of the army and hopefully i can become a great fighter to im joinin the army soon i got my fitness test monday.
                  I wana be a gold medalist in the super feather wieght class.
