man one time i got beat badly for 2 rounds and my nose was gushing blood but i chose to go out for the 3rd round and totally dominated the guy. When it comes to a real fight if u really wanna win you gotta be prepared to die... at least thats my idiot mentality

that was an am fight, right? 'cause trying to kill eachother isn't the smartest practice in training. at least not every session should be like that.

i wouldnt worry your partner is occasionally gona catch you with that punch thats gona make your nose bleed and visa versa...i hate nose shots it like stuns me for a sec and pisses me off more and more. However ive heard that as well that the more your nose gets tapped the more it will get use to it...Dont worry man it happends to everyone even the pros!!

Body shots are way worse than getting hit in the face/nose. I'm still recovering from a rib shot I recieved two weeks ago. And getting a beauty in the solarplexus or liver is just awful

no if it been an am fight the fight would of been stopped there was blood all over my shirt, on my shoes, etc... I know you shouldn't be trying to take people's heads off but that was my mentality in the 1st and 2nd and i only get beat up very badly by an older, taller guy. But one mental adjustement in between the 2nd and 3rd changed everything. I didn't like what happend that day but i couldn't let myself continue to get embarassed in front of everybody at my gym. In the 3rd I didn't really go out hard or swing hard, i just outboxed him so badly with extremely stiff jabs, quick straight rights followed by quick defensive moves. The shots i hurt people with are quick accurate straight right hands... no need to throw them hard because ive found that speed and accuracy hurt people more than when i try to actually try to hit hard. For some reason i just didn't care about the damage he'd already done to me and i totally turned the tables... Looking back on it i felt like i would of died to win that 3rd round, i remember taking a big left hook and i just instantly fired back with a hurtful righthand

Thankfully when I moved away from my wee town I was able to ditch the attitude tho - a lot of the problems up there are because there is eff all to do.

                    LOL!

I'm nowhere near as crazy as I used to be, probably cos I dinnae drink that much nowadays (hardly any at all to be honest, I've only been steamin' once this year). I sometimes look back and wonder why I didnae suffer more damage than broken bones and scars when I was a teenager cos I was a wee bawbag - always starting ****!

                    Glad I eventually grew up!

I sometimes get headaches AFTER sparring.. is that OK?
