    Shin splint

Anybody else ever suffered from this? I have it in my right shin, sometimes its agony and sometimes its ok. Just recently bought a pair of running shoes and some nice 3 layer gel insoles to put into them, going to stop road running too to try and heal. Hopefully these will permit me to box without pain!

Try walking on your heals for a few minutes after doing a workout that would require bouncing and what not.

You need to strengthen anterior tibialus.

Walking on heels is one good way

or try sitting in a chair and lifting up foot by rolling back on heels.
Hold it for about 10 seconds as hard as you can.
        repeat for about 20 repetitions.

This will strengthen the muscles that tend to get stretched out by overuse caused by running/jumping.
