  • winning headgear review

This is a review for winning headgear FG-2900.

    Size: M
    Cost: $171
    Shipping to Canada: $25
Shipping time: 5-7 business days for international express (it took 6 to get to me)

Very light and very thick padding. I have used a few regular everlast headgears and a title facesaver headgear and the winning one is the lightest one. The fit of the headgear is great for my small head and it slides very little if not at all. I've only used it a few times but I have a much easier time moving my head around because the gear is so light.

As far as protection goes its the same or very close to the facesaver, which if you guys have never tried one is like having a football helmet on your head. In other words the protection is fabulous. Nose protection is very good as well as the headgear is so thick in front that it should be able to cover all but the largest noses.

Visibility. I'd say 8/10. To me 10/10 is the equivalent of not having headgear. The winning gets a 8 because its still a bit in the way of seeing low punches otherwise its very good. Note that this could vary from person to person.

I also noticed that sweat doesn't get absorbed by the artificial leather. Could be this way by design so the gear stays cleaner.

In closing, this is the best headgear I have tried on however I've never tried on any Grant, Reyes or Fightgear so I can't comment on whether I think the winning is better than them.

Hope this helps people and if there are any questions I'll try to answer them.
